I’ve Lost My Kisses

Matilda Rose might have lost her kisses – but she certainly didn’t lose her love of the camera! She turns up everywhere – here’s some photos of her at the launch, at a book signing, at the school book fair and in a classroom visit.

Matilda Rose is a worldly young calf too – I’ve Lost My Kisses has an American edition, a French Canadian translation, and a Chinese translation as well.

This edition won a 2008 NAPPA Honour award – that’s National Parenting Publication Awards (okay, maybe not one of the top of the tree awards in children’s books – but it’s an award, and I’m counting it!)

Here’s some of the reviews the Australian edition received:

“Pucker up, this picture book is a beauty. Nick Bland’s illustrations ooze cute and Trudie Trewin’s snappy text makes this one hard to resist” – Sunday Age
“…charming, quirkily illustrated story” – Woman’s Day Children’s book of the month
“This charming story is perfect for sharing, a beautiful addition to any bedtime story collection” – Magpies
“With its simply structured text, repetition and carefully chosen phrasing, this book is a perfect vehicle for storytelling/reading” – Reading Time
“Gorgeous illustrations and clever descriptions make this an absorbing read” – My Child magazine
“An udderly delightful read”  – Canberra Times
